Grand Residence Jomtien

I booked through Agoda because the address said the place was close to the beach and nearby attractions, and the contact details said it was 50 m from the hospital. I arrived late and couldn't find it anywhere near that location. I asked several local people, but nobody knew where it was; eventually I found out it was 20 km away. I tried to get a refund because the address was wrong, but they wouldn't issue one. There was no useful way to contact the booking company, and the hotel website had no contact information. The rooms looked halfway decent and the price was good, but poor customer service can wipe out the benefit of a bargain. I wouldn't recommend booking here.

Traffic noise was loud and constant, which really spoiled this basic hotel. The room was large, with a sea view, a big comfortable bed, plenty of storage, a small kitchen area, and a balcony.

They cancelled my booking because I got there late, even though I wanted to pay online to keep the room. They didn't offer an online payment method. Anyway, it is what it is.

The furniture was old and a bit worn, but for what I paid I was happy with it and thought the place was good value. My room was large and airy, with a balcony, and it was clean. The hotel sits on a main road that's busy all night, but I was still able to sleep through the traffic.
