Jada Beach Residence

For what I paid, this was great value. I’d call it a two-star hotel with three- and four-star amenities and a five-star crew, rather than a five-star resort. The owner and staff were wonderful and helpful, the restaurant food was good and very cheap, and although there was no room service, an extra 20 baht sorted that out easily. The night guard was extremely polite and helpful. He even gave me a very amusing lesson in sorting rubbish and recycling. The pool was clean and nice. Best of all were the other guests. The place mainly caters to Westerners and Thai people, and everyone I met was smiling and polite. Since it’s small, after a day or two people knew me and greeted me respectfully, in a discreet way. There was construction nearby and quite a bit of noise during the day, but nights were quiet, which is a big plus in the Pattaya area. On the top floor the water pressure was a little low, so it took four to five minutes for the shower to get warm. I’m from Norway and like cold showers, so it didn’t bother me, though I can see how waiting for hot water could be a real problem for others. I stayed in November 2025, and based on the price I paid, I’d give the hotel/apartment building 5/5.

The host was always pleasant, and my stay felt well worth the money. This is a serviced apartment rather than a hotel, so cleaning costs 300 baht, though the host kindly gave me one cleaning for free. The room was really spacious, and there are markets, cafes, and bars nearby. The beach is a 10-15 minute walk away. Residents seemed mostly French. There was no hot water in the shower. Renovation work next to my room was noisy for two days, and the Wi-Fi disappeared one day. I booked through the app with cashback. It wasn’t expensive, so I’m giving it five stars despite having to compromise on a few things.

The rooms are run down and get very muggy inside. The Italian guy’s girlfriend was very lazy and never cleaned my room. I stayed for over a month, but the Italian guy at reception never showed me the electric bill, the meter, or my usage, then just made up a figure. Best to avoid.

The pool is amazing, and my room was tidy and a good size. It’s a short walk to the beach, with a 7/11 nearby, but the place is tucked away from the main road, so it feels peaceful and relaxing. I loved staying here.
