Lumpini Vacation Apartment

We’ve lived here for nine years, and it has never flooded. The location is ideal, at the highest point on Naklua road. Lumpini has run the Juristic office from the beginning in 2014, keeping up the experience. Many upper-floor rooms have sea or mountain views. There’s a 7/11 in the middle Building B, and the new (Best) supermarket is about 300 meters away on Naklua road. Wongamat beach is a short trip down, or five minutes by bicycle. There are other Lumpini condos in Pattaya and lots in Bangkok.

We left Building C before our lease was up, breaking the contract after less than a year for several reasons. I don’t have anything good to say about the condo or its management, so I’ll leave it at that.

Nice location and pool, with security that’s a bit strict. The rooms are really small, but the price is fair.

I spent 11 miserable months in this community. There are so many pointless rules that it feels more like a discipline camp than a relaxing home. The security guards and staff in Building A’s lobby and office were beyond anything I could understand. They were the rudest people I’ve met in Thailand, maybe among the rudest I’ve encountered in my life. They seemed to want to make everything difficult instead of helping residents enjoy the place. I left before my contract ended because of them, and I have a couple of their mental meltdowns recorded on my phone. There’s no chance to relax mentally when every issue gets sent to the office in Building A, where residents are treated like felons with no human worth. The buildings are noisy from daily renovations and from people with mental illnesses screaming day and night, consuming large amounts of alcohol and probably other illegal substances. You can hear the person next door as clearly as if they were in your room, watching TikTok and snoring at night. Flip-flops aren’t allowed in the open-air pool area, and parking costs money even if you live there. The units use more electricity than normal, so with rent on top, an average of eight hours of AC a day and no TV can still mean a 2,000 a month electricity bill. The cleaning ladies were sweet, greeting me with smiles every day and sometimes making polite small talk. Staff in my own lobby, which wasn’t A, were still okay. But I feel like I wasted 11 months of my life here.
