The room facilities felt dated, and I spotted small bugs on the walls and table. I also saw a young housekeeper scrubbing the inside of a toilet bowl by hand with just a cloth. It was heartbreaking to watch and frankly unhygienic for both staff and guests. Management should provide the housekeeping team with proper cleaning equipment. There are plenty of positives too. The location is incredibly convenient, with a 7-Eleven nearby and the beach right across the street. Nights were very quiet and we slept peacefully. The pool is great, breakfast buffet decent, and the staff very friendly. For the price, it’s good value.

There are plenty of nearby restaurants to choose from, including a McDonalds for us Americans, and the buffet breakfast has a very good selection. The hotel is right across the street from the Gulf of Thailand beach. Its beautiful pool is large, with an infinity pool, a kids pool, and a bigger one for everyone. For a relaxing beach vacation, this is a great choice.

We didn’t get into a room we could properly use until around 4:00 PM, after arriving at about 2:00 PM from a long, tiring trip. No one apologized or took responsibility, and even after we reported problems, staff paid little attention. The room had ants and the air conditioner still wasn’t working properly. Finding another room took over an hour. It’s unacceptable to pay extra for an upgraded room and still end up with such poor conditions. The problems started at check-in. Our booking clearly said the room would be on the second or third floor, and we had specifically avoided the first floor. Instead, we were given a noisy ground-floor room with a power outage. Staff didn’t make a proper effort to help and said the hotel was full, though we later found out there were vacant rooms. The hotel and booking platform kept passing responsibility between them, and we were told a room change would cost an extra 500 THB. We agreed to pay for the upgrade, but the new room smelled musty and the air conditioner didn’t cool properly. Nobody offered to help with the luggage during the move, so my husband had to carry everything himself. When staff showed us another room, only a housekeeper came along. We overheard them asking each other, “Will this room be cool enough?” That was unbelievable. If staff aren’t confident about the room’s condition, they shouldn’t offer it to guests. This was a very disappointing stay, and we won’t be coming back.

We stayed in the north high rise and had a great view of the beach and pool. Towels were available for the loungers, and the three pools had different depths that worked well for kids. It’s a family-friendly place with good staff, service, and location, just cross the road to reach the beach. Breakfast runs from 7 to 10. There’s no full English, though some items are available alongside fruit, yoghurt, cereal, Thai food, and, I think, food from some other nationalities. Room delivery has a good food selection. You’ll want the Grab app, much like Deliveroo or Just Eat. A couple of easy fixes would help: the lift looks like it belongs in a London tower block, and all three rooms we booked had shower heads with blocked nozzles and uneven spray. Five stars apart from that.
