I came for the bar's famous two beer deal. Great girls, a good atmosphere, and a view of the Soi and all the general debauchery of LK Metro. It reminds you not to take life, or yourself, too seriously. It's always later than you think.

I only visited the bar, not the hotel. It's relaxed, with live music every night, and the band is arguably the best in Pattaya, except perhaps Hot Tuna on Walking Street. There are some beautiful ladies around, but they aren't pushy. The pool table is always well organized by a lady named Moon.

On Saturday 8thOct2022, I felt Billabong bar in Soi LK Metro had a scam going with its 2-for-1 drinks. I ordered the first round and was charged 130baht. When I ordered a second drink, they charged me another 130 baht. The third order brought the bill to 390 baht. I asked about the bar tab and was told there was a special, two drinks for 130 baht. So where was the second drink from my first purchase? The barmaid said I'd already had four drinks, which meant I was overcharged 130 baht overall and they tried to stiff me on another San Miguel light. Keep an eye on your beer tab. The in-house band sounded like screeching cats! Avoid the post-menopausal freelancers too.

You sit down, order one beer, and get a bill for two. I didn't see a sign, and if there was one, it wasn't placed well. The forced 2-for-1 deal is actually drinks at double the price, and you don't get one free. Want three or five beers? Too bad, you have to buy four or six, and you can't share them. Avoid this place and go somewhere that doesn't make you buy two at a time. There are plenty of other bars around Soi LK. Don't support this kind of business.
