Sea Breeze Jomtien Resort (SHA Extra Plus)

The location is great, and the grounds inside are nice. For a tourist who isn't too demanding, it's generally a good hotel, but the hot water was a real inconvenience. It was usually available in the morning, but not in the afternoon or evening. There's also a Wi-Fi problem: the signal in the rooms is poor, though it worked okay in the lobby. If you're going now, in February 2026, there is hot water in the shower, but it's only there sometimes, usually in the morning.

The room had no working phone, the bathroom light was broken, and the air-con thermostat didn't work, leaving me to run it freezing cold or switch it off. I booked because I wanted a bathtub to relax in after the beach, but there was no hot water at all. I tried several room changes. One had nasty black water; at the desk they claimed they'd checked another room and assured me it had hot water. That wasn't true, and they repeated the same assurance for three more rooms. The front desk said only the manager could help, but he wasn't there. Neither the desk staff nor manager made a real effort to fix things, and some staff were extremely rude and dismissive. Avoid this place.

The big pool was clean enough for a swim, although the water looked a little cloudy, so I'd give it 6/10. The gym was poor and felt more like a storage room. It's an older hotel, but it's kept clean and in good condition, and the air conditioning worked well. Service is mostly self-service. Breakfast was regularly replenished for the many guests, and the front seating area has distant beach views. The Sea Breeze Hotel is a well-equipped 3-star property with several buildings and seems set up for large tour groups. I noticed quite a few Russian guests, while the Thai visitors were mostly large seminar groups. I had booked individually at a travel fair and was put in one of the smaller buildings, A or B, away from the main building used by seminar groups. There's plenty of convenient parking, though many guests arrive on tour buses or don't have their own vehicles. The hotel is directly on Jomtien Beach, just across the road.

The balcony had a nice sea view, and the beach is just across the road. The room was a good size, and there's a swimming pool. Food was okay. Tea and coffee making facilities were in the room, but no tea or coffee was supplied. The car park is very small, and this isn't a wheelchair-friendly hotel, with all the stairs to manage.
