Sea Crest by Jomtien Hotel

The location made getting around easy. The street was quiet, yet the main beach road was only a two-minute walk away, with plenty of restaurants, cafes, convenience stores, and massage places nearby. My wife and I stayed at the Sea Crest for a long weekend and would happily return to Jomtien Beach. We liked the mix of price, value, and artsy style. Our room had tasteful, simple decor with creative touches, including lamps, woven-scarf wall hangings, and antique-style umbrella frames without their cloth suspended in the bathroom. From the sea-view room, we could see a leafy green neighborhood and the sea off to the right. The hotel also provided a beach bag, towels, an umbrella, bottled water, and a safe.

Good value for the money. It's a quiet little hotel close to the beach and plenty of restaurants, with a small pool. The rooms are clean and the beds are good. Breakfast is simple but does the job, and they have real coffee made in small grinders.

I stayed from 28.11-30.11 and didn't feel welcome at reception. A small smile isn't much to ask. The room was okay, but there was long women's hair in the shower, and in the evening I kept noticing water noises. For about €41, I expected more.

The Crest has a creative feel, with each floor representing a major city in Thailand. The rooms are attractive and well designed, with a spacious bathroom containing a shower, sink, and toilet. Mine was clean and well maintained, and the bed was very comfortable, though storage space was lacking. Staff were kind and friendly, and they provided a beach mat for free. Breakfast was great for the room price, with Thai and Western dishes, fresh fruit, tea, and coffee. The pool is cute and good for a dip, just not an Olympic training pool. It's a short walk to the beach and local restaurants in the heart of Jontaim beach, and the value is great. We'll be back.
