Sunshine Hotel & Residences

The location is the main draw, near the beach and the bar area across the main road. The rooms are basic and functional, but the air conditioning is very good, which I appreciated. Showers have the familiar problem where the screen is too short, so water ends up covering the bathroom floor. Breakfast was good, and I especially liked that the fruit selection changed from day to day. The omelettes seemed to be made ahead and handed over when requested, though I’m sure you could ask for one freshly cooked with your preferred ingredients. It’s a well-priced hotel in a convenient spot.

I’ve stayed here twice now, and it’s a solid three-star hotel. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and smell nice, and there are different room options, each with a minibar. It’s an older place, but the nightly price is competitive. There are two pools, a pool bar, and free parking on Soi 8. You can walk to just about everything. A good pick if you’re travelling on a three-star budget.

We stayed on 23/04/2026, and the beach was only a few steps away. The area was completely quiet. Staff were extremely friendly, and the rooms were lovely with a real focus on cleanliness. Breakfast was superb. Thanks to sunshine Hotel And all staff.

We stayed as a group in Jan 2024, and the service was solid. Our rooms were consistently clean, and Soi 8 was a convenient base, just a short walk to Beach Road with good Indian restaurants nearby, including Punjabi Corner. The reception staff weren’t friendly, which is why I took off a star. A warmer welcome at check-in would’ve made a big difference.
