Sureena Hotel

We decided to move to another hotel because this room was in such bad condition. The beach location is a plus, but this hotel needs a full refurbishment. My partner and I stayed two nights from November 17, even though we’d booked five, and found a mouldy shower room, mould growing in the corners, a filthy toilet, ants coming from behind the bed, and water damage on the walls. The room wasn’t clean, the bed felt very itchy, and we coughed a lot. There was a terrible damp smell that never went away. As we were leaving, the man at Reception didn’t seem friendly. He watched us closely as we got into a cab outside, which felt creepy. There was also a baseball bat at Reception.

The manager is incredibly rude and disrespectful. I had the opposite experience with the manager's daughter, the cleaning lady, and the night porter, who were all friendly and very nice. The hotel is spartan and very noisy, especially around Soi 13. The pool is tiny. At least there’s a 7/11 and a McDonald's next door.

The room was cool and nice, though small. It works for budget travellers. The service wasn’t good, and the free breakfast doesn’t start until 8:30am. The beach is close, and there’s a McDonald's nearby.

Well maintained, with all the amenities. The location is perfect for party lovers.
