The Grand Lodge Pattaya Hotel

It can get noisy here, and the hotel’s rules were the one uncomfortable part for me: you get just one key card, and there’s a charge if you leave it in the room or for other things. The location is handy for the beach, Walking Street, restaurants, and shops. The baht bus goes straight to Terminal 21. Room service was kind and the room was clean. There’s a restaurant on the ground floor, not cheap, but okay.

Suri at reception was especially welcoming, polite, and helpful. The room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained, and I had a wonderful stay in a pleasant atmosphere. I’d happily choose this hotel again.

The internet was quite slow, which is the one thing I’d change. Otherwise, I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay at The Grand Lodge, Pattaya. There are lots of nearby food choices, including Indian restaurants, and a 7-Eleven just steps away in front and behind. The hotel also has a ground-floor restaurant, and the staff were courteous, polite, and helpful. My favorite part was the location next to Pattaya Night Market, which I could see from my room window. There was also a side view of the beach. I’d recommend it for the location and overall comfort.

The slow Wi-Fi was the main problem. I had to use my Thailand SIM data and even turn on a hotspot for my other devices. There’s no room telephone to call reception, which seems common at many hotels in Thailand. We heard some noise from nearby pubs, but from the 6th floor it didn’t bother us; lower floors might get more of it. The rooms were clean and daily housekeeping was dependable, with staff greeting us warmly. The location made it easy to explore on foot, and luggage storage came in handy. We liked the friendly service and useful facilities, and would recommend the hotel.
