The Miracle Hotel

We arrived around 4 PM, but our room wasn't ready because it still needed cleaning. They put us in a room that had only been partly cleaned, with dead bugs everywhere and a shower that didn't work. Calling this a 5-star hotel doesn't fit. It may count as “5-star” by local Thai standards, but it falls far short of international quality. The noise made it impossible to relax or sleep. The walls are paper-thin, and we could clearly hear drunk people shouting and partying. It was super annoying and completely unacceptable for a supposed 5-star place. If you're in a hurry at checkout, ask for your deposit early, or you might wait 10-20 minutes at the front desk.

We booked five rooms as a group, and our first impression of the Pattaya property was positive. The stay fell well short of expectations, though. Two of our rooms had serious drainage problems, and the shower mixer in our room was faulty, giving only scalding hot water. That was inconvenient and a safety hazard. The breakfast menu was exactly the same for all three days. At checkout, they charged us 300 THB for a missing cup and spoon. One of our rooms had initially been booked for only two people, and the missing items weren't our fault. Charging a group that booked five rooms for such minor things, after the maintenance problems, felt like very poor customer service. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so future guests have a better experience. I look forward to hearing how these service lapses will be addressed.

The room was spacious and comfortable for a long stay, with plenty of room to stretch out. The beach area is a bit far, though the front desk explained that trucks run back and forth regularly. The staff were amazing and helpful with whatever we needed, from breakfast and housekeeping to the front desk and bellboys. Spai and Benz at the front desk and Beer among the bellboys were all helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was decent, with lots of good choices, but it's mainly Asian rather than international. For a Western breakfast, there was only continental food besides premade fried eggs. We asked if they could make scrambled eggs, and the restaurant manager came in to get approval. The hotel is good, just keep in mind that it caters to Asian visitors.

Excellent service, and getting around the six buildings by golf cart was available. The breakfast buffet had a good range, and the taste was acceptable. The room was spacious, and the bathroom had a bathtub. Amenities included hot and cold water, a hairdryer, TV, refrigerator, Wi-Fi, and kettle.
