The Blessing Place

I was there for a corporate meeting at The Blessing, and the place felt like a big relative’s house. There’s a meeting room, pool, and restaurant, with parking available at the boatyard next door. The rooms aren’t especially new, but they’re comfortable and quiet. The food was tasty and clean, made with good fresh ingredients. The owner was friendly and ready to help with anything.

A short walk gets you to motorcycle rentals, restaurants, a fresh market, a mini-Lotus, a 7-11, and a som tam restaurant. Still, we chose to eat at the resort because the food was so good, haha. The flavors are delicious and have that authentic family-style feel, and the service is warm and welcoming. It’s a walk from the beach, rather than right on it. There’s karaoke, barbecue, and a pool, so it’s a fun, affordable option for a group.

The rooms were better than the hostel-like exterior suggests, and there’s a pool, snooker table, and rooftop for relaxing. Food was reasonably tasty too. For sleeping arrangements, the four-person room has one large bed for about two people, a bunk bed, and one bathroom. The bigger room sleeps nine, with five single beds together, two bunk beds, and two bathrooms. I did notice the bathroom hadn’t seemed to be cleaned when I first went in, and the fried rice was a little hard. I’ll leave the other small issues aside. It’s probably best for big groups of 50 or more. It was okay overall.

The room was good, the caretaker was very kind, and the food tasted great.
