Travelodge Pattaya

The location is great, and it’s decent value if you get a discount. Staff were generally friendly, and there’s a small but useful gym on the 2nd floor. My room was at the end of the first floor, and music thumped every night until 2AM. The mattress was worn out and uncomfortable, with no support, so I sank into it. Maybe it was better when new. The hotel also needs a refresh, especially the stained carpets.

Cafes and 7eleven shops are all around, which makes this a really convenient spot. The beach is about a 10-15 minute walk, and there are lots of places to eat nearby. First time staying here. The hotel was clean and nice, and the staff were friendly.

The noise was a problem both at night and in the morning, from a bar and construction next door. I changed rooms three times because some had spiders and others smelled of sewage or drains. Even with the “Do Not Disturb” card on my door, reception still called to ask if I wanted housekeeping. It interrupted me, especially when I was asleep. I won’t stay here again.

The rooftop pool area was nice, and I slept well on a high floor facing away from the bars. The location is great, and reception staff were pleasant. My room was clean but quite small. I paid around 1,600 THB a night. It’s guest-friendly, though visitors have to leave their ID at reception. The bed linen and pillows were yellowed and should be replaced. It’s a no-frills hotel. Around 1,000 THB would have felt better, but 1,600 THB didn’t feel like a rip-off.
