Centara Life Cha-Am Beach Resort Hua Hin

There’s direct beach access, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast has a decent selection, and the place works well for families with small children. I checked in on a Friday, but although check-in is listed as 15.00 hrs, my room wasn’t ready until 16.00hrs, so I waited another hour. The beds creak quite a bit, and the bathroom shower didn’t look very clean. It’s also busy with events and company seminars, so it’s not somewhere I’d pick for a quiet escape.

The room was comfortable and right on the beach, and breakfast had a good range of food, including an egg station. We were there for two nights and didn’t try the restaurant beyond breakfast. It’s around 20 minutes from central Hua Hin. I’d stay here again when I’m in the area.

The pool areas are great, and there’s a beachside bar. We ate well at the Sands restaurant, and breakfast had a really nice mix of options. The gym is good, the staff are friendly, and the value feels strong for this location. Having a great time, thanks!

The pool area was the highlight: clear water, plenty of room to swim, and a fun slide. The grounds are nicely kept, and you can step straight onto the beach without crossing a road. Service was good throughout, including by the pool and beach. The bar had some decent drink deals for a resort, and the snacks we tried were good. One evening there was a live musician who was very good, playing both Thai and English songs. Our room was clean and in good condition, but felt plain for a resort. The bathroom was tiny, really just enough for one person at a time. We didn’t pay extra for a pool or ocean view, so the car park view from our small but pleasant balcony was expected, though still a bit disappointing. We tried the breakfast buffet once. It was fairly good, with a nice range of Thai and other dishes, drinks, and an egg station for made-to-order omelets, though there weren’t many options there. The bhat thom go weren’t fresh. We didn’t eat at the hotel’s other restaurants, so can’t say how they are. We spent two days here. If we came back, it would depend on the price and what the rooms at other places looked like. We liked the pool and the service, and next time would probably pay a little more for a better view. The modest price was one reason we chose this property, though I’d put it at about 3.5 stars if half stars were possible.
