Niramaya Villa & Wellness Resort

Getting around was easy without a scooter: there are lovely restaurants within walking distance, and boat trips leave right in front of the resort. You can also rent a scooter here. We stayed in a deluxe villa with a private pool, and it was gorgeous, with loads of room inside and out. The shared pool is huge, and the waterfall makes it a relaxing place to hang out. The location is the best in town, and housekeeping came every day. The staff were incredibly friendly and spoke good English. Rice Paddy does excellent coffee and breakfast. For 350 bhat, there are freshly baked breads, healthy fruit, a muesli bowl, and plenty of other choices. They also have Mexican food and delicious cocktails. I'm already planning another stay at Niramaya. I believe it's mostly Thai-owned, and we like to think about where our money goes and support the Thai economy. The employees seemed happy, relaxed, and to be having fun, which made us glad they appeared to be well looked after. If you're visiting Koh yao noi, I highly recommend this resort.

We loved having a large shared pool to swim in during the morning, then our own villa pool for a more private dip in the evening. The rooms are spacious and well equipped, and even come with a laundry basket. Each villa has a private pool, and the facilities are great in a fantastic location. The staff were friendly and quick to help with our requests. We didn't get to try the restaurant since it was always fully booked, but I bet the food is amazing. Scooters are available to rent, and there are cool restaurants and massage places all around the villa, easy to walk to for lunch, dinner, or a massage. We'd definitely come back and tell people about this place.

The villa's upstairs bedroom air conditioning was a little noisy, but that was the only small thing I'd change. We had a wonderful stay at Niramaya Villa, with kind, helpful staff who made sure we had what we needed. The food at the hotel restaurant was delicious, and we really enjoyed the pool. Everything else was perfect, and we'd highly recommend staying here.

The sunrises here are the best. We spent the last 8 nights of our month-long Thailand visit at this resort, and it felt like we had the place to ourselves since we were the only guests for much of the time. The people working here are amazing, attentive, helpful, and funny. It's easy to walk to restaurants and cafes for a meal or cocktail, or stay on the property for great food at the Rice Paddy restaurant. Don't let the rainy season months put you off. Niramaya is well worth visiting anytime.
