We ended up staying here both before and after our floating bungalow trip because we liked it so much. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the beds were very comfortable. Our rooms were clean and cozy, the bathrooms were cleaned regularly, and the air conditioning was great. There’s also a pool. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the village and its great restaurants, and only five minutes to the bus stop. The hostel helped us book a last-minute night jungle walk too. It cost 400 baht a night and was well worth it. We spent two nights here and booked the two-day, one-night floating bungalow trip through the hostel.
I was staying at another hostel, but Nahm Khao Sok helped me with several parts of my trip. I booked a night safari for the same day, and they had a spot available. The tour was great. I also booked their two-day, one-night lake house trip. It was a great price, with lots of activities, professional staff, and delicious food, and I had a really good time. Even though I was staying elsewhere, they kindly stored my extra bags safely while I was away. When I got back, I needed a bus transfer. Their price was similar to the ones I’d seen online, so I booked with them. While waiting, I could use the facilities, leave my bags, and charge my devices. I also ordered cold drinks from the cafe/restaurant. They were delicious and really cheap. It’s a great place to get what you need in one spot.
The owners and staff are lovely and always happy to help. We stayed in a tent that was clean, with very comfortable beds, and the facilities were cleaned regularly. The cafe on site had good food and coffee. Booking our day trips through the hostel was easy and saved us the stress of arranging them ourselves. If I come back to Khao Sok, I’ll stay here again. 10/10.
We extended our stay because the place felt so cozy. The people running it are the sweetest, and the dorm beds are comfortable with curtains that give you a bit of privacy. Everything is clean, including the outdoor cubicle-style bathrooms and showers, which are well maintained. There’s a cafe and restaurant on site too. I’ve only been here two days, but it already feels like a little slice of home. We booked a two-day, one-night national park activity through the hostel, but a separate company ran it and the whole thing was a disaster because they were disorganized. We had to return without staying in the park or doing any of the planned activities. The hostel was appalled, contacted the company, and made sure we got half our money back. I really appreciated their help. It showed they understood why we were upset and made sure we were looked after.
The hostel is slightly away from the main bars, so it’s quiet, but you can still walk everywhere. The staff are really friendly and can help arrange any tour or transfer. There’s no need to book before you arrive, you can just talk to them then. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, and the individual lockers are very handy. The cafe serves food and drinks until 21:00, and nearby places stay open later if needed. A small pool is a great way to cool off after exploring. It’s also a good place for solo travelers, since you’re likely to meet others if you want to chat over food or drinks.
