The location is really good, but I had a bad stay otherwise. I’m not sure the bedroom had been cleaned at all: there was dust on the TV and air conditioner, and mould in the bathroom and on the air conditioner. It also smelled bad. Other guests were noisy, though I can’t blame the hotel for that. The internet was poor too, though that was the least important issue for me.

I could leave my touring bike in the laundry room overnight, so it didn’t have to stay out on the street. The dorms are kept in good shape, and the 250 baht walk-in price includes a towel. The bus station is literally right outside, which makes this a great place to stay in Phayao.

For a solo traveler looking for a cheap bed in Phayao, this may be the only option around. The bunk has a curtain, though it’s white, and the sheets seemed clean. It’s also only a two-minute walk from the bus station, and a towel comes with the dorm. The shared areas were dirty and dusty. The floor hadn’t been swept for days, and bottles and plastic bags were piling up beside a full bin. There wasn’t any soap in the bathroom. The mattress was hard as wooden planks, so if you’ve slept in a monastery, expect much the same comfort.

We were taken in without a booking, and the lady was lovely. The place was really clean and tidy, with lovely linen and fluffy towels. The bathrooms were spotless, and the refillable lotions were a nice eco-friendly touch and smelled delightful. The location is a 10/10, just 110m from the bus station. Thank you :)
