Angpao Hotel

We had a lake view, and nobody bothered us during the stay. The rooms were clean whenever we returned, and check in and check out were quick. My one real disappointment was being charged 100 baht because there wasn't a spoon in our room. After staying there for so many days, that felt unacceptable, especially since two spoons cost 19 baht at a convenience store.

This place felt toxic, so I'd avoid it. I hope the employees find other work and that I run into them one day at another hotel.

The room and hotel looked beautiful, with lots of thoughtful details and spots for pictures. I liked the pool area and its swing, even though the water was a little cold. The front desk lady was lovely and chatted with me. There were sockets beside the mirror, so I could dry and straighten my hair at the same time, and a hair dryer was provided. Room service came daily, with two bottles of water, and the shower gel smelled soooo nice 🥰. There was security too. A few things could've been better. The hotel is a bit secluded, and once it got dark the lighting made doing my makeup difficult. I would've liked two pillows instead of one. I wanted to try the cafe, but it was closed when I visited. I noticed stains in the bathroom, and the shower pressure could've been stronger. Nobody helped us carry our luggage upstairs. Outside, two aggressive stray dogs barked at us, which was really scary.

The staff were kind, and the rooms were tidy and clean with an open view. I also enjoyed the relaxing pool in the shared area. It's in a quiet neighborhood, 4km from the city and a 10 minute walk to the central bus station. A nice, quick laundry service is just a 5 minute walk away. I'd definitely stay again.
