Baan PhuAnda Phuket

I felt safe and away from the crowds here, and I’d definitely recommend it for a clean, safe trip. The staff were amazing and even gave me a free upgrade to a deluxe room. There’s a Starbucks and a 7-Eleven right next door.

I’ve been here for a week and am having an amazing time. Reception will help with anything, from downloading apps to booking trips. I’d highly recommend the hotel, but I should get back to enjoying the trip now. Step outside, turn left, and there’s amazing fried ice cream. Ten more steps gets you burgers, chips, and steaks with a Thai twist, and a little farther along you can make your own soup. I’ve had to do that twice. There’s a 7-Eleven on the left and another on the right, and the main road is 100 metres away. The beach is about 35 minutes away, around 200 baht, or about 10 Australian dollars.

We’d escaped noisy, crowded Patong, and this quiet spot made the trip much better. The location is close to Old Town and several malls, with nice restaurants and cafes nearby. The service was friendly, and laundry was quick and inexpensive. The room was spacious and good, with vintage style, a lovely natural terrace, good air conditioning, and free Netflix. We’ve just checked out, and I had to write this right away. I’d stay again if I return to Phuket. P.S. There’s a lovely tape collection in the restaurant area. If you’re an analog geek like me, you’ll be happy.

We only realised after checking out and staying at a couple of other hotels in Phuket how homely Baan PhuAnda had felt. It’s a quaint little place in a quiet pocket, close to a 7-Eleven and plenty of local eateries. The rooms were clean and spacious, better than we expected for the price. The Wi-Fi was great, and the AC units had recently been installed.
