Blue Rabbit Phuket

I've been staying here a long time and like everything about it. It's a decent hotel for the price, good value overall. 🤝

The rooms look modern and the hotel seems brand new. We liked having a jacuzzi in each room, plus large bottles of shampoo and hand soap instead of those tiny wasteful ones. The location was convenient too, about five minutes by scooter from the old town, where there are bars, clubs, restaurants and more. Getting help was difficult. The receptionist didn't speak English, and most of the time nobody was at the desk. When we asked about a late checkout, she pointed us to a phone number on a label, but we couldn't reach it on WhatsApp. We also tried all the numbers listed on Google Maps, Booking and the hotel entrance. Our sheets had stains, and there's no elevator, so we had to carry our bags upstairs. We had rooms on the second and fourth floors. In the second-floor room, there was a jacuzzi but no shower, and the toilet had no door, which was inconvenient for two people who weren't a couple or related. The fourth-floor room had both a shower and a jacuzzi, and a door on the toilet. We couldn't open its curtains because the window looked directly into a Thai family's kitchen, extremely close by.

For the price, this hotel offers a lot. The area isn't especially family-friendly, and the old town isn't close on foot, though it's only a five-minute scooter ride away. My room was clean and comfortable in the newly refurbished hotel. The mattress is very firm, which I liked, but keep that in mind. A fridge and a kettle would have been useful, and there was no safe. There isn't an elevator, and reception is usually unattended, so don't count on dropping off bags early.

We paid for a room two months ahead, then the hotel cancelled our booking just 24 hours before check-in. They offered to rebook us for three times the price.
