Box Poshtel

A really chill place, and drinks are reasonably priced. The rooms don't cost too much for a night either. This is one of the nicest hostels I've stayed in in Thailand. The women at reception were especially friendly and very helpful.

Those roosters next door start singing at 4:30 every morning, and my blanket was basically an oversized towel. Still, this is a fantastic hostel in a great part of Old Town. The capsule dorm beds feel almost like having your own room, with a shelf, light, mirror, outlet, and curtain at each bunk. The bathrooms were clean and never crowded, and the showers are the best I've seen in a hostel. I want that rainfall showerhead at home. Staff were really nice and helpful, and each floor has its own wifi connection. Breakfast is free every morning, with two pieces of toast, a banana, cookies, and tea or coffee.

The hostel's location is a big plus, close to old town Phuket, the bus station, restaurants, coffee shops, and more. It's a good budget option, and the staff helped with all our requests. When the room's air conditioner started leaking, they moved us promptly so they could fix it. I didn't give five stars because the room and toilets could have been cleaner. During our three days there, one toilet had no paper for two days.

The 'super box' was a nice room, though the wall around the door seemed almost see-through. It gave me the feeling people might be able to look into the room, even though I don't think they actually could. A bit odd, but it wouldn't stop me coming back. The people were lovely, the staff were great, laundry was done quickly, the soft breakfast was good, and the wifi worked well in the room.
