Buasri Boutique Patong

Set in the busy part of Patong, this is a lovely hotel and good value for money. The rooms are large, with balconies and air conditioning, which comes in handy in Phuket’s humidity. The shower and bathroom were lovely. One thing to know: they use a septic tank, so you can’t flush toilet paper, as is the case in almost all places in Phuket.

The vibe was nice, the room was large, and the bed was very comfortable. This was our last hotel on a short trip around Thailand, and the room we got was fine, with a large fridge. Once we found the area, the location worked well despite being down a side road. But the first impression was poor. We were sent a Google map location up the road and around the corner, and I asked in advance if it was right because we’d be arriving by taxi from the airport with luggage. No one replied, so we ended up at that other spot on a main road in 32° humid heat, then had to cross crazy traffic to find the hotel. When I mentioned the wrong directions to the receptionist at check-in, she didn’t seem to care and was rude. That surprised me, since Thai people are known for being really lovely, and I’ve travelled all over Thailand without encountering rudeness before. I’d booked a direct pool access room, but was told I couldn’t have it because of construction. Strangely, I saw hotel guests in every single pool access room during my stay. If rooms are double booked, just be honest with guests. On closer inspection, some areas needed maintenance and a deep clean. It was fine for a couple of nights, but there are many better, cheaper options nearby. I wouldn’t return. Nanai 2 residence directly opposite seems better and costs less. This place feels like it puts style ahead of service.

The pool was a great place to cool off and unwind after sightseeing, and it was clean too. We loved our stay from the start: walking into the lobby, we noticed a lovely, calming scent that set a nice mood for the visit. Would definitely recommend it!

Housekeeping kept everything spotless and well maintained, and the staff made things easy throughout our stay. Mina, the manager, and Zaw were especially funny and friendly. We had a great hotel experience and would highly recommend it.
