Ideo Phuket Hotel

My girl and I spent one night here, and I was really impressed. It’s in a wonderful spot near Naiyang beach and Sirinat National Park. If I get the chance to visit Phuket again, I’ll definitely ask my girl to bring me back.

The balcony had lovely views of lush greenery, and the bed was so comfortable. The room was really clean and got cleaned every day, and it came with two pillows. The staff were lovely too. We landed in Thailand at 8am, and it was great that the hotel arranged a pickup and had our room ready that morning. Obsessed.

A charming little hotel about 300 meters from Nai Yang Beach, an easy walk, and close to the airport too. The owner is kind and welcoming, and the staff are friendly and very helpful. There’s also a cute dog, Hoo Lek, who greets guests. Highly recommend!

I stayed at Ideo Phuket Hotel for three days while looking for somewhere to rent long term. One of the employees, Lee, said he had a nearby apartment and offered it to us. He seemed trustworthy, but that turned out to be a big mistake. Just before New Year, prices were high, and we agreed to a very expensive rate and paid a 20,000 THB deposit. Lee promised excellent internet, which we both needed for remote work. In reality, it barely worked. Over the two months we rented, we had stable internet for only about three weeks. Lee kept asking us for extra payments. He first charged one amount for water, then tripled it without a proper explanation. The same thing happened with electricity, and he came by repeatedly asking for money for different reasons. The worst part came when we were leaving Thailand. Lee arrived with his sister and said they didn’t have the money to return our 20,000 THB deposit. On our last day, I spent seven hours at the police station trying to sort it out. The police did their best to help, and I’m very grateful to them. While I was there, I contacted the hotel owner to tell her what had happened with her employee. She said we should handle it ourselves. I find that level of responsibility concerning. I’ve also heard Lee has acted similarly with other hotel guests, so be very careful if anyone connected to the hotel approaches you with a rental offer.
