Sirimongkol Resort

I was exhausted from work, and after one night I was already dealing with a really frustrating situation. The TV in the next room was on all night, and I couldn’t sleep. When I asked the new front desk staff to speak to them, they said they were too shy because it was late. As a woman traveling alone, I didn’t feel comfortable confronting the guests myself. I’ve stayed here for several nights on other visits, even when the price went up, and it had always been good. This time the service was terrible. When I tried to explain the problem, the staff member turned on their camera and talked to someone else, completely ignoring me. The usual good service was ruined by the hard of hearing and the new staff member. I hope the owner improves things. It was torture. 😫😭😭😭

The beds need attention. The spring mattress pokes into my back, and the extra bed is worn, sagging, and tilts whenever I sit down. Replacing or fixing the mattresses, along with the curtains and noise issues, would help. The curtains are too short to close fully, so people walking by can be seen. The air conditioning blows everything in, making it impossible to see everything. The room condition gets 5/10. The noise gets 5/10 too: there was loud drinking and other noise, and staff didn’t stop or warn the group. Maybe they tried, but the group stays every month and they’re used to it. For the service and condition, the price is appropriate, so that’s 7/10.

The food is both tasty and inexpensive. Service was excellent, and the waitstaff were lovely. The manager looked after customers well and came across as very professional.

The room was just average, but comfortable enough to sleep in. I’d arranged in advance for a cat to stay with me, and we had agreed to it. Then, after five nights, staff said the owner had seen a cat looking at the window and didn’t like it, so I couldn’t stay any longer. We scrambled to find somewhere else and ended up in a different location. I was really disappointed. There also seemed to be something mysterious about the room. On major Buddhist holy days, I couldn’t sleep at all. If you’re thinking of staying here, ask for more details first, or you might feel uneasy like I did. 😿
