We loved staying in this villa. It felt like home, and the owner was welcoming and cooperative the whole time. She even surprised us one morning by ordering a full day of complimentary meals for us. She also has hotel rooms and other villas next door. The owner, a renowned architect here, has designed a compact, independent studio villa with two bedrooms, space for three, and a full kitchen. It was smartly laid out and fully equipped, good for a couple with a kid. It's in a peaceful colony with no disturbances, about 100 metres from Chillva Market, open 5 pm to 11 pm, with clothes, food stalls, live bands, a cafe, and clubs. Lotus Supermarket is 500 metres away, and McD, KFC, Dunkin, pizza hut, and plenty more are within walking distance. Mostly everything else is available too. The downside is there’s no nearby bike or scooter rental. You have to find one in Phuket main town, 3 km away, or book a cab for 200 BHAT. Special thanks to the owner!

A small, tidy, handy hostel with a great shared area. It has what you need, including a washer and dryer and a microwave. Tea, toast, and eggs just keep coming. The staff were helpful and friendly, and you can rent a moped there. The night market is worth checking out.

The local night market has all kinds of things at prices cheaper than Patong. There’s a good variety of food at reasonable prices, plus live music.
