The breakfast buffet was scrumptious, and my wife and I enjoyed it a lot, though tastes can vary. The crew provided great service, and we had running water, basic toiletries, and beverage supplies. Rooms were okay, and the property is a bit old, but I don’t have much else to complain about. It’s a good budget choice for tourists. The hotel is conveniently placed by Malin night street market, with a couple of 7-Elevens nearby too.

For a budget stay, this is a two-star hotel on a quiet street away from the busy road. Massage places, an Indian restaurant, Thai street food, and a small shopping area are all walkable. The breakfast buffet was decent, with several egg styles, toast with jam and butter, Thai dishes, juice, Thai iced tea, hot and cold coffee, and salads. There’s a rooftop pool and gym, plus a small toddler play area. You can request an iron, and the bathroom has a hair dryer and shower gel. The rooms are small and the bed was hard. We found cockroaches in our room, and there weren’t even basic amenities provided. There were reminders about fines all over the lobby walls. Breakfast and the lobby are right in view of the street.

At Sunshine Patong Hotel, the reception ladies made me feel at ease as soon as I arrived. They were consistently welcoming and friendly, with genuine smiles. The hotel is clean, good value, and just a short walk from the beach. I’d gladly stay again and would keep it among my first choices for another Phuket visit.

I was charged 500 Baht for a small towel after it got a bit dirty when I used it to clean my baby after a meal. That seemed unreasonable and unfair, especially since this is an ordinary thing that can happen with children. The staff insisted on the fee without flexibility or a proper explanation, which left me with a very poor impression. At a place meant to welcome families, I expected more understanding and better service. I wouldn’t recommend Sunshine Patong Hotel to families or anyone expecting fair treatment. There are plenty of more accommodating and professional hotels in Patong.
