Thavorn Beach Village Resort & Spa Phuket

The resort's grounds were a highlight for us, with beautiful foliage and a real effort to keep the natural setting part of the design. We also loved the huge, distinctive pool and the private beach, where we got to see lovely sea life. Our ocean view room was spotless, enormous, and had an unreal view. The hospitality felt professional and welcoming, and Minnie and Polly at reception were so sweet. The most beautiful resort I've ever seen!

The wildlife area brings in animals around 4pm, and we had a really good dinner at the restaurant. Breakfast came with our stay and was decent, though nothing to brag about. One thing that bothered us was an Indian family drinking beer and tossing a can into the ocean. That wasn't the resort team's fault, but it's basic manners, especially when you're visiting another country. The place felt peaceful from the moment we passed the main gate, and its architecture was stunning. We celebrated our anniversary here, and ms. Chuty and ms. Minnie at reception were kind and helpful with early check-in and getting us oriented. They also arranged a beautiful anniversary setup. After we checked in, the bed decoration, which seemed to be ms. Apple’s work, was another lovely surprise. The amenities were fantastic, though the toilet felt a bit cramped. We had a wonderful day, with the large pool, private beach, and friendly staff, and our first anniversary couldn't have been better. One day didn't feel like enough to enjoy it all. I was impressed enough to write this on my first night. It's a Thai-owned 5-star hotel with a private beach, roomy rooms, and the facilities you need for a relaxing stay. The staff are warm, attentive, and seem to know how to look after Thai guests. The location is excellent, and the experience feels like more than the price would suggest. Some international chains may be newer or look fancier, but they often cost a lot more. For the money, this hotel is great value and has what you need for a comfortable holiday. I'd recommend it if you're after a well-serviced beachfront stay at a reasonable price.

The resort's lagoon pool and private beach made for such a calm, relaxing holiday, and the whole property feels designed to connect with nature. Getting around was easy too, with prompt buggy service and helpful staff just a call away. The breakfast spread was delightful, and even the bird feeding activity was a nice touch. Panne and Jeab deserve a special mention. They upgraded our room when we arrived, then surprised us with a complimentary cake and fresh fruit. Their warmth and care made us feel very welcome. We had a memorable escape and left wanting to come back.
