The bathroom could be a little cleaner, and a shelf or hanger in the shower would help since there's nowhere to put clothes or shampoo. The washing machines cost 30 baht. I stayed in a private room. It was clean, with AC and a window facing a big street, and I didn't notice any problems.

It's an affordable place, and the staff are really nice. The hostel is in town, so it's easy to get to restaurants, cafes, temples, bars, the market, and the bus station. I was very happy staying here and would recommend it to anyone travelling solo. ❤️

The staff were the best part of our three-night stay. They welcomed us as if we were at home and were very attentive. The breakfast was good, but expensive for the area and what you get. For a hostel, there should be a separate place for guests to heat their own food and sit and enjoy it. We tried breakfast and lunch there once. The bed was very hard, more like a mattress on its own, and our sheets were badly torn. My boyfriend and I both sleep heavily, but light sleepers should know that the wooden windows have gaps and the glass does nothing to block noise from the busy street. There was no hot water on our floor, which was a shock at first, though I got used to it. Shower gel and shampoo were almost never there, but I'm sure they'd provide them if asked. For such a low price, I'd recommend it to people like us who leave in the morning for the beach and only return at the end of the day.

I stayed in the female dorm, and the setup felt odd, with the cafe downstairs and hostel upstairs. I've seen that arrangement work elsewhere when there's a shared social space for hostel guests, but there wasn't one here. The two toilets and showers are shared by guests, staff, and cafe customers, so it felt strange coming out of an evening shower with random people around. I had an awful night's sleep. The pillow was so thick it bent my neck, so I tried sleeping without it, which wasn't comfortable either. The room smelled damp when I arrived and the smell got worse overnight. The squeaky door woke me whenever anyone opened it, even with earplugs in. I woke up itchy all over and can't say whether there are bed bugs. The curtain pole was broken and held up with an elastic band, so the curtain fell whenever I pulled it. The curtains also let in light, so you'll need an eye mask. There's definitely room for improvement.
