For a fair price, this is a pleasant, modest place to stay. We were three easygoing guys sharing the deluxe room with an extra mattress, and it was more than comfortable for us. The shared bill came to 17 USD a night, and the A. C. kept us cool. The service was what I’d expect from a small place above a charming but humble coffee shop. It helps if you speak Thai or have a translator to communicate with the hosts. The view down onto Rommanee street is nice for people watching or just letting time pass.

For the price, this is a great deal, and there are local breakfast spots just a 5-10 minute walk away since the guesthouse doesn't serve breakfast. The rooms are clean and pleasant, though quite small, and there are only three of them, above DouBrew Coffee on the first floor. Its spot right in the middle of Thalang Historic Road is hard to beat. Head out after 10 pm if you want photos of the street and nearby area.

The owner was warm, attentive, and easy to deal with. Rooms are clean and cozy, and the old town location makes it easy to walk to food, drinks, and nightlife. The street out front can get busy in the evening, with people taking photos and visiting the famous ice cream place across the road.

The location is the main thing going for it. The street is lovely and the coffee shop downstairs is really popular, but the room fell short of what we expected for the price. Some of the walls weren't clean, and the bathroom inside the room smelled bad.

The cafe serves world class coffee. My room was decorated really well and had a fun, funky feel. One tip, put a credit card in the slot meant for the room key when you go out, so the AC stays on.
