Bukit Pool Villas

The steep hill up to the villa and all its stairs and floors weren't shown on the website. Inside, it didn't look like the photos and wasn't clean, though staff came daily to replace towels and make the bed. The bathrooms smelled and had mold. The pool and jacuzzi were cold and dirty, and we had no hot water for two days. We called, but they didn't come to turn it on until two days later. They asked to hold our passport or 10,000 baht as a security deposit, which I didn't like. We felt watched in the villa, and the security guard took a photo of us coming in. I didn't understand why, and there were cameras watching us too. We spent most of our time away. It definitely wasn't worth the money. A nice resort is much better, and I won't stay here again.

We couldn't stay more than one night because the whole village smelled like sewage. There was no electricity or water, the curtain was broken, and the property wasn't looked after like the photos suggested. They agreed to refund only 50% and give us a fruit basket, so we ended up paying for 3.5 of the 7 nights.

My wife and I were happy with the room, but our schedule was so hectic that we hardly spent time there or used the pool. At the price, it may not make sense if you have back-to-back plans and barely use the room. We had a pool access suite, though the pool is shared. The room was comfortable, service was good, and the location was ideal for us, away from Bangla Road noise but not too close to it. They offer bike rentals, but only Honda click bikes, at 400 baht for two days. If you rent a bike through them, there's no bike deposit. The room deposit can be paid in our home currency. There are some drawbacks: the exterior needs maintenance, the path to the rooms is very narrow, and the property is up a very steep slope. There are lots of window panels, so if you forget to close the curtains, your privacy is exposed.

We spent two weeks at Bukit Pool Villas, and Muay made the stay especially good. She handled our tours and questions so efficiently and thoughtfully that we were sad to say goodbye. The other staff were lovely too, and always willing to help. Our villa was spacious and clean, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We highly recommend Bukit Pool Villas and know others will be well looked after there.
