Ocean Rock Kalim

The staff were amazing, including Guy the owner and Guy the worker. I guess there’s something in the name! They helped with everything, even arranging pictures, balloons and flowers for my son’s 18th birthday. We’ve stayed in some of the best accommodation of our vacations here. The facilities are beautiful, clean and spacious, and the location is close to everything while still far enough away to escape the bustle. You’ll need to rent a car or use taxis to get around. The sunrises and sunsets from the balcony will add years to your life. I definitely recommend it.

The walk into town has a steep hill, but there are lots of cute cats to greet along the way. Staff were kind and helpful, and arranged to have a glass replaced when it suited me. The place has that industrial chic charm that’s all the rage these days. It’s less colorful than much Thai style, but made for a clean, quiet escape from the chaos of Patong beach. I often had the pool to myself, the air con was powerful, and the amenities were very comfortable. My only change would be to offer free water. The provided snacks were helpful for evening snackies.

The staff made the stay for us. They were so kind and ready to help whenever we needed anything. The room was huge and comfortable, and the pool has a lovely view of the ocean, the sunset, and Patong's lights at night. Ocean Rock Kalim is the best hotel in Phuket for me. I’ll definitely come back.

We really liked how peaceful it was at Ocean Rock. There’s lots of privacy and space for a reasonable price, and the staff were friendly and quick to respond. Our room was spacious, with beautiful views. It’s at the top of a steep driveway, looking out over Patong Beach, but restaurants, cafes, and Bangla Road are about a 10-minute drive away. We stayed seven nights and would happily return on another Phuket trip.
