Kokotel Rayong Beachfront

I hear they completely renovated the building, and the updates are really nice as of May 2026. I stayed here 10 years ago when it was a nice beach hotel, and the improvements were needed. It's a beautiful building in a great location, and khao restaurant next door serves very good food.

Watching the sunrise and sunset from the beach just across the road was amazing. The room felt brand new, looked modern, and was spotless, so I was very comfortable. Service was thoughtful and covered everything well. Just remember to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste. I'd choose this place first if I visit again.

The room felt untouched after housekeeping had finished each day, as if nobody had stayed there before. Every staff member was so kind, helpful, cheerful, and smiling. The hotel owner must be very proud of them.

Room 806 had a great corner layout and a lovely sea view, though noise from the nearby water pipes and pump ran through the night and kept me awake. I hope management looks into it, since other guests could complain too. The balcony had lots of old-looking bird droppings, so I didn't want to use it, and there was dust and hair on the floor at check-in. Housekeeping should vacuum more thoroughly. There was also a faint paint smell in the room and corridors, and renovation drilling and maintenance may be noticeable during your stay. Despite that, I liked this newly renovated hotel right across the road from the beach. The colors and design felt cozy, the rooms seemed new and spacious, and the bathroom was surprisingly large for a small property. My sea-facing room had a stunning view for the price. The bed was soft, clean, and comfortable, with two pillows per guest. There was Google TV, a safe, a reading light, and an eco-friendly setup. Each floor had a water station with glass refill bottles, and some amenities were available from the front desk. Facilities also included a pool, small gym, and kids' room. Breakfast was fresh and tasty. You could order unlimited dishes from the à la carte menu, alongside a small salad station, juice, and bakery items. The selection wasn't huge, but I especially recommend the Japanese set. Staff were friendly and always smiling, and the breakfast team stood out for their service. If you can put up with some renovation inconvenience, it's already a nice place to stay. Anyone wanting everything perfect may prefer to wait until the work is finished. I'll come back, and hope they make improvements.
