The view from the floating room is nice, and sleeping above running water is an experience. But the room quality is poor, with old, low-quality furniture and a bed. The small patio facing the river is shared, so there's little privacy. An always-on light just outside the window keeps the room from getting fully dark, even with the curtains closed. Breakfast was average.

Everything else was nice, but the toilet flush was really hard to use. We reported it and the resort couldn't fix it. The place was full because of a marathon at Sai yok national park, so changing rooms wasn't possible. We could only flush after using the jet spray together with the toilet flush.

We booked a courtyard room at the last minute while driving, expecting a lot from the photos and location. My wife is Thai. We were offered a floating room for an extra 500 THB, but it didn't seem to add value. It was far from reception and parking, and felt like a gimmicky room on a river. There were too many problems in the room. The TV's electrical connections looked dangerous. The mattress was dirty and wobbly, and shifted so much whenever either of us rolled over that it kept waking us. The shower faced the mountain, but there were no windows to enjoy the view. Poorly sealed windows let bugs inside, and we're not sure if we were stung overnight. I know insects and crawling creatures come with staying in nature, but a cottage we're paying for should be more comfortable on that front. Breakfast was dreadful. The so-called buffet had only a handful of choices: pork rice porridge, which wasn't too bad, a couple of vegetable salads, fried eggs, boiled sausages, fried rice, and one fruit, watermelon. The toaster bread was possibly the lowest quality white bread. The “butter” was low-quality margarine, not butter, and the strawberry “jam” was red-colored syrup. That was it. And the coffee was instant coffee. I'm a coffee lover and can't accept that. Full stop. I think hotel management has completely lost its way and urgently needs help. They seem to underestimate customers and assume we'll put up with poor service without telling others. I feel bad for the employees, who have nothing to do with the state the owners have left the place in. They're trying their best with what's available. Avoid this place and stay somewhere else until management gets it in order.

A quiet, peaceful place surrounded by nature on the River Kwai Noi. The staff are friendly.
