The Oriental Beach Pearl Resort is a four-star resort on the Gulf of Thailand. The restaurant serves Thai and international cuisine and wines from around the world for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can also cook in the fully equipped kitchen, which is available in every room.
The Oriental Beach Pearl Resort offers a 2800m² swimming pool with water slides. The resort has a mini-golf course on site, and tennis on its own tennis court. The staff made us feel welcome everywhere we went, and the chef took extra care to keep my husband's food gluten free since he has celiac disease. We spent six weeks here as a family, after 1.5 years of worldschooling across 5 continents and 12 countries, and this was our favorite long stay. The pool, beach, and national park were all lovely, and we headed to Hua Hin several times for the water park. We rented a moped and had a blast exploring on it. It was a great base for seeing Thailand. We'll definitely be back.

We had a really bad stay and checked out early. Housekeeping hadn't cleaned properly, the AC didn't cool, and insects were everywhere, including on the bed, bathroom, and floor. I was bitten on the ear by one on the bed, and had to rush to hospital when my ear went numb. The shower leaked and the drain didn't work.

The villa had plenty of room for our family of four, two adults and two kids, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. We loved spending evenings at the rooftop jacuzzi and BBQ while the kids played. The resort felt peaceful but was still close to what we needed, and exploring nearby by bicycle was a relaxing way to spend time together. The pool could have been cleaner, though. We had a great stay and are already hoping to return soon.

The swim up bar wasn't working, though we still brought our own drinks over. The cocktails were great and reasonably priced, and staff were cheerful and brought things up to our roof several times. Our room was cleaned daily and topped up with water, toilet paper, and the rest. Pool towels are kept behind the bar. There was plenty for my two kids, ages 8 and 10, to do, including the big slide, small playground, mini golf, and pool table.

Khun O, the restaurant supervisor, was especially warm, helpful, and sincere. The resort itself is beautiful, with a great atmosphere, good service, and lots of facilities and activities. It felt like excellent value for the money, and we made some lovely memories here.
