The Best Place

The staff were great, and the room had everything I needed. A supermarket and two 7-Elevens are close by. Getting to popular spots or the river ferry takes a long time, though. The yellow monorail line is more accessible, about a 50 baht taxi or Grab ride away. Foreigners can't get the one-month stay discount.

Mint and Fern at the front desk were wonderful, and Bump, the polite housekeeping lady, and the helpful handyman also made a great impression. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. Local shops are very close, and some floors have washing machines for 10 baht per load. The TV only got a signal between 2 and 3 a.m. There were a few tiny insects at night, ants and local plant insects, but they weren't harmful. I didn't see a wheelchair ramp, though there is a lift.

I stayed six nights, and this studio-style room worked well in several ways. It was clean, with a clean bed, a nice kitchen, and a tidy bathroom with a warm shower. Shower gel and shampoo were provided, along with two 500 ml bottles of water and a toilet roll most days. A microwave would have helped me heat food. There's a big Lotus Mall within walking distance, Seven Eleven shops nearby, and a laundry shop opposite the building. The laundry shop's card reader adds 3% VAT if you pay with an international card, and the building also charges 3% for card transactions. The internet was okay but not especially fast, and there were no English TV channels. The lobby could get loud in the evening, with grown women running and talking loudly on my floor at night. Reception staff were fine, though I would have liked a friendlier attitude. The cleaners did a good job in my room, but they didn't take my trash every day. Some seemed unfriendly or even a bit aggressive, and I felt they avoided acknowledging me. It's far from downtown, so I wouldn't suggest it to someone new to Bangkok. If you're looking for a Thai experience without expats around, it may suit you. I didn't see any foreigners or expats staying there, and it seems better suited to Thais than expats. Rest was good. I'm an Indian solo traveler.

For a very reasonable daily rate, I got much more than I expected. The place felt like a condo, with modern furnishings and everything very clean. There was WiFi, a desk, a separate sitting room and bedroom, a kitchen area, a nice bathroom, and a balcony. Service was good and available 24 hours. Daily and monthly rates are offered. I'd highly recommend it.
