Viewdoi Art and Resort

The peaceful setting and the farm produce were real highlights for me. I liked the fresh vegetables and some food items grown on the resort’s own farms, and it was good to have halal food available. The rooms were spotless and cared for, making it easy to relax. Staff were consistently welcoming, polite, and friendly, with warm smiles throughout my stay. I had a fantastic visit at Thantara Resort and would recommend it to anyone after a tranquil, luxurious break.

The main drawback is the distance from the Old City. It took around 25 minutes to reach the city centre and usually 15-20 minutes to get back at night, so we depended on Bolt or Grab. Tours generally won’t collect you here because it’s outside their pickup area, though some companies may arrange pickup and drop-off for an extra charge. Drivers who brought us back kept commenting on how far out of the way the hotel was. Still, if you’re after a fancy resort with good amenities, it’s a great option. We spent four nights here and had a good stay: the resort grounds are extensive, rooms are spacious and clean, and you can borrow bikes parked outside your villa to ride around. Staff were kind and helpful. Special thanks to Lek, the only night staff member, who covered the whole resort during his shift and looked after guests with a big smile. Breakfast had plenty of choices, though much the same each day, and the chicken options were halal.

The views and calm atmosphere made a great first stay, and the service was genuinely first class. Everyone was respectful and easy to deal with. I’ve travelled all over Thailand over the past 10 years, and this is the best five-star place I’ve stayed at. I’d happily book again.

I loved the pool and its views. The room and bathroom were both spacious, and the staff were helpful and nice. There are activities like bicycles, go-karting, and other options. Breakfast was okay, pretty much hotel standard. I stayed one night; it was quiet, private, and still not far from the city.
