P’Eak at the front desk was warm, welcoming, and excellent at his job, and the cafe staff were lovely too. They cooked great food and presented it beautifully. The rooms were clean, working, and well equipped, though ants wandered across the floor since the place is close to nature. They stayed away from my bed and belongings, so it didn’t bother me much. It’s a manageable downhill walk to the bridge, but going into town costs about 20 baht per person, so it’s worth bundling your trips.

This family-run place has both lodging and a cafe. It’s private and quiet, easy to find, and within walking distance of attractions. Breakfast was tasty and adequate. We booked two weeks ahead for New Year, so had no choice of room. At 1,800 THB a night, the air-conditioned room with river and bridge views felt very expensive. It was clean, but had no fridge or soundproofing, and the water pressure was very low. WiFi was strong only in the dining area. Staff service was quite good, though the owner never smiled.
