We chose the shared bathroom option for the first time, and it worked out really well. There are separate facilities for each gender, with six individual lockable rooms, so it feels close to having a private bathroom. They were extremely clean, cleaner than many 3- or 4-star hotels. The sinking bathroom takes no more than five minutes to get cleaned after use. This is easily the cleanest hostel I've ever seen. The air conditioning worked well, though it could feel a bit too cold or strong at times. It may be worth checking with the guest next door if you'd both rather turn it off overnight so no one gets sick. We had no noise issues during our stay, and people were quiet and considerate. The rooms are small, but that's what you agree to when booking one, and we still preferred it because of the cleanliness. The owner was overly friendly. I can't understand the one-star feedback from the Russian guest before us who'd had a lot of trouble. If you're respectful and polite to the owners, they'll make your stay comfortable and are very flexible, for example with checkout times. The deposit is 500 THB. After meeting quite a few people on the street who book and don't show up, I understand that. The keys also have a function for turning on the AC, so replacing them probably wouldn't be cheap. The landlord is what makes this place feel like home. The rooms and interior were very clean, and the location is ideal, away from the busy Walking Street but still close to it. The beach is only a few meters behind.

This was the best hostel of our whole trip in Thailand. It was clean and felt really fresh, with free coffee and drinking water. The owner was very nice, friendly, and helpful. I definitely recommend it.

Standard room with no window. There’s no breakfast, and check-in is at 2pm with checkout at 11am. Good points: free water, friendly staff, and a good spot near Sunrise Beach. Downsides: no window, a small room that should work fine with AC, air conditioning only half works, no hot water, and it's a little far from the pier.
