Sea to Moon Lipe sits right on the beach, with lovely sea and nature views, wooden chairs, and nice background music during my visit. Service was a tale of two visits: Hadee was friendly, attentive, and quick the first time, a 5/5, while the second time there was no service at all, 1/5. The large Chang cost 100 THB and came ice cold, with a glass holding a big ice cube that slowly melted. The pineapple smoothie was refreshing and delicious at 140 THB. Plain rice was light and fluffy, 30 THB. Those each get 5/5. The Penang Curry (Thai Spice) had a good portion and nice spicy flavor, but far too much salt, 150 THB, 3/5. Stir fried Chicken with Basel and Rice was a small portion and neither the best nor the worst I’ve had, 120 THB, 3/5. Happy hour runs 17:00 to 19:00, buy 3 cocktails and get the 4th free. Each cocktail was 280 THB 😳. WiFi was very hit and miss. Overall rating: 3/5.

🚨 Scam warning 🚨 I had a terrible stay for one night. Staff were friendly at check-in, but their attitude changed completely when I checked out. They asked for unnecessary personal information, then tried to charge me for a blood-stained pillow that was already in the room. I also found rat droppings on the bed. When I reported them, the staff laughed as if it was a joke. I refused to pay for damage I hadn’t caused, and the hotel called the police. The officers confirmed I wasn’t responsible. Before the 11 AM checkout, the hotel had cut off our water and electricity. The whole thing felt like a scam to drain guests’ money. Absolutely not recommended. Not recommended at ALL.

The room and bathroom were dirty, with cockroaches and other insects appearing every day. The beds were stained and uncomfortable, and the TV didn’t work. The breakfast was gross, with undercooked, snotty omelettes. Nothing we tried was edible, and the room situation put us off spending time at the resort or trying its other food. The staff are out to scam you. One night I got my period and left a tiny blood spot on the bedsheet. A rude staff member told me to clean it myself, which I did. During the stay, we also caught staff inspecting our towels on the patio numerous times. At checkout they made us wait outside the bungalow while six staff members inspected it, three of them going inside. One woman came out with a couple of towels that had a tiny spot of makeup on them. She said we’d have to pay £20 per item for damages or we couldn’t leave. I refused and washed the items myself in the sink. We refused to pay the charge and checked out. I’ve never experienced anything like that at checkout, with all the other guests watching from their patios. I definitely wouldn’t stay here again.

SCAM ALERT, worst hotel experience ever. I stayed for one night and honestly wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. At check-in, the woman at reception asked for lots of unnecessary personal information that had nothing to do with our stay, which made me uncomfortable. I didn’t check the pillows closely before bed, then found blood on the one on the opposite side. Reception was closed, so I reported it in the morning, expecting an apology and a replacement. Instead, they tried to charge me 400 baht for a stain that was already there. I refused, and they called the police. Three officers came and tried to negotiate with me, but after looking into it, confirmed I didn’t have to pay. It was also our checkout day, and my husband was still in the room hoping to shower. Checkout was at 11 AM, but they shut off the water early that morning. By 10 AM there was no running water. After dealing with the police for over an hour, I returned to find the electricity had been cut off, too. We were left without water or power. Completely unacceptable. The hotel felt unprofessional and disrespectful, and the way it operates felt like a scam. Absolutely not recommended.

Ken was wonderful, helping with the booking, reception, and anything else right through to the end. Aniss and the other kind staff deserve thanks too. The place is cozy and lovely, and we had a really good stay.
