Srilamduan Hotel

After a very disappointing stay at our usual hotel in Sisaket, we found this place on Google Maps. The people working here greeted us politely. My fiancée and I wanted a double room, and because of my back problems and the long journey as a farang, the owner came over and upgraded us from the standard double to a superior room, which costs 1800THB more than the one we booked. A wonderful person and incredible service. I know we'll stay here again when we visit my loved one's family.

The rooms were clean and spacious, with very comfortable beds, and the main building looked modern and clean. The property itself is odd, with several buildings, some of them seemingly abandoned, and the check-in desk was hard to find. Staff were courteous. We asked for a large bed but got two twins, and our request to fix some broken lights was never dealt with. The room was quiet except for pool noise during the day, and the AC was arctic.

A relaxed, low-pollution setting, with clean architecture and buildings. Service was good and the food decent, though the bathroom amenities are lacking.

The building looks quite lovely outside, but the rooms are noisy. You can hear everything, footsteps, showers, toilets flushing. If you're a light sleeper, you'll be worn out by morning. We booked a taxi for 7:40 a.m. and waited almost an hour. We missed the bus we had planned to take and ended up going by taxi.
