You get the essentials in a standard hotel room: a big bed, strong shower, and toilet. The hotel is in a great spot, around a 10-minute walk from the main shopping areas in Songkhla center. I’d stay there again if I went back to Songkhla.

There isn’t much to do around the hotel. It’s old and has a spooky look, like it might have been a grand luxury hotel with lots of stars years ago. The shower curtain was dirty and worn, though oddly the room was serviced every day.

The hotel is huge and doesn’t seem very full, so I’d come without booking and try to bargain. The price feels a bit high for what you get. It’s far from a dump, but the chipping paint and rusty tubs make it look like its heyday was a long time ago.

The male reception staff were rude, the furnishings were falling apart, and the place smelled bad. Everything felt wrecked, and there were no facilities.
