Paradis Villa B3

We loved the sunset views and how easy it was to get around by scooter or tuk-tuk. The staff were always smiling, kind, and ready to help. Our three-bedroom villa was huge and easily fit six of us, and the place was well kept with regular cleaning. There was mini-golf and massage service too. The pool had a strong chlorine smell, so we didn't feel like swimming in it much. Otherwise, we were very happy here and are already thinking about returning next year.

There weren't many customers around, which is surprising since even day visitors can use the facilities for free. The resort has a pool, restaurant, massage, sun loungers, and what we thought was the best beach in the whole region. The grounds are well maintained, and the food was decent with quick service.

The location and service were unbelievably good. The scooter rental was very good too, and the mini-golf course was nice. The restaurant wasn't as good, but "Mama's kitchen" is only 400 m away and does great Thai food. The electricity charges and compulsory daily cleaning fee felt a bit overpriced, adding over 25% to the rent. Still, my best stay on Kho Khao.

2015 review: I've been here four times, 14 weeks in total, and was already planning to spend the coming winter at Paradis Villa. It's better each time, and after a couple of days I never want to leave. Bring the family, friends, or anyone you enjoy being with. Having your own villa with hotel service gives you the best of both, and it's affordable. You can relax among unspoilt nature while still having the comforts of home. There's good food at reasonable prices, sunset drinks, sunrise walks, the ocean and pool for swimming, beach time in the sun or shade, workouts, bocca, sand volleyball, and Thai massage. Think of staying one or two weeks? Book three or four. You'll leave your worries and hurry at home. 2016 review: We came back, and this was our fifth visit. In 2013 we'd enjoyed it so much that we bought a villa here. We just got home and miss it already. New this year were a mini-golf track and table tennis, plus a chef. The food was clearly the best on the island this year, with a big, professional menu. And I nearly forgot the draft beer at the beach bar, an ice-cold pint of Chang by the beach at sunset, or really any time of day. We're coming back in 2017. You should too!
