Javarine Lord Resort&Hotel

After a tiring swim, this seaside restaurant is a refreshing place to eat. The food comes out quickly and still tastes good, and the staff are attentive and efficient. For special holiday, it's a good idea to reserve ahead if you want a prime seaside view.

The location was perfect for both the beach and the on sight pool, and the holiday was cheap and happy. The cleaning staff were superb with our rooms. Catering needs improvement, though: tables were cleared slowly, and after a long wait for my food, I was told she'd forgotten my order. No, Thai Smile here I'm afraid. Basic, but value for money.

There's a restaurant, plus a choice of free breakfast. The rooms are spacious, and I stayed in an end room with a partial sea view. Rooms on the second floor are reached by staircase, but if climbing is a struggle, you can book a lower level room.

The Javarine has good Thai food, especially the fish and crab dishes. I've used its beachside restaurant and swimming over the past 6years while staying at the chalet hotel across the road. Both places are great for a quiet tropical atmosphere.
