Baan Rosa

We spent a week in Baan Rosa, and the family room worked perfectly for us. It was very clean and had air conditioning, two separate bathrooms, a large balcony, and a kitchen. The rooms were spacious, and they provided beach towels and snorkelling equipment. The location was ideal, close to everything while still in a quiet area.

The rooms have Thai-inspired decor and are well equipped for eating in, with a hot plate, kettle, fridge, and microwave. They're not sleek and modern, if that's what you're after. The area is quiet and convenient, tucked away from the busy street, but there's a path that gets you there in a few minutes. Breakfast downstairs is great, and even if you're not staying here, the small restaurant serves tasty food at a good price. A few cats hang around downstairs, and I miss the orange one. When I needed a visa, the front desk was really helpful with the paperwork and directions. Finding the place on Google Maps was difficult, though. Pickups and Bolt rides kept being sent to the laundromat at the end of the street. The customer service was great, and I loved the location.

Breakfast by the laid-back pool was tasty, though a few more choices would’ve been nice. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and it’s only about a two-minute walk to the beach. The guesthouse feels homey rather than hotel-like, with thoughtful decor, big clean rooms, and balconies. There’s a large fridge, microwave, water heater, and other useful things. The AC worked, but I couldn’t get silent mode to work with the remote. If you’re after somewhere quiet and cozy near bang tao beach and surin beach, I’d recommend it.

Bangtao beach is a very nice five-minute walk away. The rooms are super clean and quiet, and everyone working at the hotel was really kind and helpful. We also had breakfast at the little hotel café, and everything was delicious. Such a cute place, highly recommended.
