Coriacea Boutique Resort

We picked this hotel for our last night in Phuket because it’s near the airport, which made things easy. The 7/11 is a bit far for a quick snack, but everything else about our stay was perfect. The beach is right in front, beautiful and not too crowded. Our room was comfortable, and falling asleep to the waves was amazing. The sunset from the beach was absolutely stunning!!!! 🌅 A hidden gem, for sure.

We needed a convenient stop after arriving late at Phuket Airport, before carrying on to Khao Lak, and Coriacea Boutique Resort worked well for our one night. It’s a simple boutique hotel without unnecessary extras, and good value for money. Mai Khao Beach is nearby, and the plane spotting there is spectacular. You can watch aircraft come in as if they’re passing just over your head, a fun Phuket moment if you haven’t seen it before. The hotel was quiet and peaceful despite being near the airport, especially at night when there are very few landings, so we slept well. We ate dinner and breakfast at the restaurant. The service was friendly and quick, and the straightforward food was perfectly fine for an easy meal on site. The pool is quite small, and there are only a few sunbeds, which might not be enough when the hotel is full. Apart from that, everything worked well.

After crowded hotels and beaches in Phuket and Krabi, Coriacea felt wonderfully relaxing. We were only there for one night because we wanted somewhere near the airport, and it surprised us in a good way. The beach is just a few meters away, and you can borrow a bike for free to ride along it. Breakfast was the best we had in Thailand, and the hotel also provides free snacks and water.

The staff were friendly and attentive throughout the hotel, and check-out took less than 10 minutes. I stayed one night before an early flight from HKT airport the next day, and the location couldn’t have been more convenient. A great choice if proximity, quick check-out, and good service matter for an early flight. Highly recommended.
