Phuchada Residence

Sasha was wonderful. Our flight was delayed by two hours, but she stayed up past 1 and picked us up from the airport. The villa is around a 10-minute drive from the airport and about 45 minutes from putang, so you may want a rental car or scooter. The rooms have a modern concrete style, high ceilings, and a large living room area at the front. The bathrooms and showers are open to the room without doors, which felt awkward sharing the villa with a group, though it should be fine for couples. Amenities were basic. There was a washing machine, fridge, and AC in the rooms, but some trash cans were missing, and another villa had a toaster while ours didn’t.

It’s very peaceful, tucked away in lush greenery and quite removed from nearby Phuket and the airport. Our taxi driver had trouble finding it, and there’s no food or drink service on site. The host is super helpful, though, and the beach is about a 40-minute walk, with plenty of shops and 7-Elevens along the way. For the beach, turn left off the main road toward The Slate hotel. There’s an alley right beside that fancy hotel that leads straight to the beach.

It’s out in the countryside, but two large beaches are less than a 10-minute drive away. We got a very warm welcome, and the room had everything we needed. It was quiet despite some construction nearby.
