Avada hotel

My wife and I spent four nights here in February while visiting family and friends in the area, and Avada Hotel was wonderful. The staff were friendly and polite, and the modern rooms were clean and comfortable. The rates were very reasonable for such a good hotel. We loved having a coffee bar and restaurant with free WiFi on the ground floor. The food was very good and the service was top notch. I’d highly recommend Avada Hotel if you need a good hotel in the Trat area.

The rooms are very neat, so cleanliness gets a big plus. It’s not a fancy place for a long stay, but it’s great for an overnight stop before heading to Koh Chang or after coming back. Breakfast is optional. If you don’t need it, ask reception about an additional discount.

We’ve been staying at this reasonably priced hotel for years and have always been happy with it. The quiet location is a little outside the city, but there’s no public transport, so without a car you’ll need a taxi or Songthaew. The rooms are spacious, clean, and conveniently furnished, with daily housekeeping. The beds and pillows are among the most comfortable we’ve had in hotels anywhere in the world. The rain showers are satisfying too, with good shower heads and strong pressure. Avada’s breakfast choices change daily and are always fresh and tasty. The team keeps the buffet tidy even when the hotel is full.

The hotel was okay, about what I’d expect from a three-star place. We stayed one night before going to Koh Kood. I found it on Expedia and wish I’d looked into it more. The location is farther from the other hotels in Trat. The breakfast was basic and okay. The bathroom on the third floor smelled strongly of mold, and black mold had spread through all the white caulking. The shower drained very slowly. After reading reviews calling the rain shower “amazing,” I was surprised to find it was just a normal, basic shower. Maybe it seems larger if you haven’t traveled much, but the mold smell and poor drainage were the real surprises. Even with shower shoes, I got athlete’s foot from the shower in our room. I wasn’t happy to have to visit a pharmacy after reaching Koh Kood the next day.
