The room felt brand new and was spotless. My only issue was the cement overhang on the stairs, which nearly caught my shoulder. It has padding, but angling a piece of wood there could make it safer.

Being close to the markets and within walking distance of the bus station matters to me, and this hotel is in a good spot for both. The bed was big and comfortable, the linens were clean, and the air conditioning worked well. There's a fridge and a flat screen TV that takes a USB stick, which is handy since there are only one or two channels. I bring my own movies, so that was fine. I had what I needed and would stay here again.

Chivapuri was clean, comfortable, and had good air conditioning and wifi. We paid 1000 baht and rented a motorbike for 250. The restaurant/cafe connected to the hotel was only mediocre. Later we moved next door to Little Chick Guesthouse, which was just as nice for 800 baht, and the coffee at little chick was better. Still, I have no complaints about chivapuri. It's a solid hotel.

The rooms were clean, the staff were nice, and it was good value. You can rent a motorbike right at the hotel, which is a great way to get around Trat before heading to the islands.
