Chor Grandé Resort

We stayed as a family and loved how peaceful the resort was. The room was clean and spacious, the staff were friendly, and everyone was happy. We’d definitely come back.

The lobby staff had a negative attitude. The room looked clean, but there were lots of mosquitoes and possibly bed bugs. I got bitten more than 30 times, which had never happened to me before. The coffee was Nescafé powder?

The rooms face each other, with glass-paneled doors, so you can see into other rooms and have to keep the curtains closed. Tinted windows would be nice, so natural light could still come in. The door lock seems weak and leaves a small gap. The shower doesn’t get the cool air from the air-conditioning, so the temperature becomes noticeable if you stay in the bathroom long enough. The beds are very hard, and there’s one very soft pillow. That may come down to personal preference, but I had to fold mine in half to make it work. Breakfast choices were very limited and didn’t have much taste. There’s no laundry nearby, so you have to take a baht bus, about 20 baht each way. Everything is new, but anyone can walk in from the street onto the hotel grounds where the rooms are, bypassing reception entirely. The accommodation isn’t expensive. We stayed just 1 night.

The bed was a bit hard, as is usual in Thailand. It’s a great, clean place to stay, with convenient parking right by the units, though the parking spaces are a bit narrow. Don’t miss the beautiful Japanese style garden behind the breakfast area. It’s a lovely place to relax for a bit.
