Rosewood Phuket

The kids club was excellent, with lots for my six year old daughter to do, and she loved going every day. Katiie was a standout, going above and beyond with a photo album for her. The staff were so well trained and professional, at the highest level of Western hotel standards. They made my daughter feel special with gifts, attention, and excellent food. The food overall was excellent too, and all the facilities were great. The rooms are expensive, but worth it for the pool, outdoor shower, and comfortable bed. After 15 years around Asia, I’d put this among the top three hotels. I really can’t find a fault.

From the moment we arrived, the training and professionalism were clear, whether we were dealing with gardeners, restaurant staff, or the concierge. The food, rooms, beach, amenities, and service were all second to none. Even getting to the airport was stress free, with Wi-Fi and concierge help from the curb through immigration. I’ve traveled a lot of the world, and this was the best service I’ve ever experienced. Google only lets me give five stars, but I’d give ten. When we come back to Phuket, this will be our first choice. Thanks Rosewood for a great stay.

What made the stay unforgettable was how thoughtful the staff were. Bua was especially exceptional. She greeted us by name at breakfast, remembered our comment the day before about some noise next door, shared restaurant suggestions through the hotel’s WhatsApp, and came to reception in person to say goodbye on our last day. The breakfast itself was outstanding, with a great selection, lovely setting, and flawless service. The hotel is beautiful, set in lush tropical forest, and peaceful despite being close to the city. Our rooms had the elegant design and thoughtful details we’ve seen at other Rosewoods, including the São Paulo Rosewood. This was our first family trip to Phuket, and our travel agency recommended the Rosewood Hotel. It was the best decision we could have made, and a wonderful experience from beginning to end. One of the best hotels we’ve stayed at.

Bua was an amazing butler throughout our six night honeymoon. She answered questions, suggested places, made reservations, helped with unusual requests, found someone to braid my hair for a nearby festival, and contacted the on-call doctor about a skin issue. She also knew our plans and had breakfast prepared on the morning of our off-site tour, so we could eat quickly and leave on time. Every staff member was kind and attentive, remembered our villa number and usual orders, and made us feel at home. We were upgraded to a partial ocean view villa, welcomed with chilled champagne and a honeymoon cake, and the next evening the staff decorated it with roses and candles. The grounds are a beautiful tropical oasis, and the pool area felt calm and almost empty whenever we were there. Every restaurant served incredible food, especially Ta Khai, where we ate three times. We came all the way from the US, and Rosewood made the trip feel like home. The honeymoon was remarkable, and we can’t wait to return.
